Paul,
yes you will haev to remove the water manifold, only use the oem part as others fail quickly.
The hose is bought in bulk, I believe Marc Swanson ala efiexpress.com has it in stock.

>I have recently discovered I had a a slow coolant leak and today I was able to locate it but I'm not sure just how to fix it. The patient is a 95 S6 and the leak under the water manifold where there is a hardline connecting to a hose with a clamp on it. I've traced the hardline directly to the turbo and could see moisture accumulate against the block just under the hose clamp (and after 10 minutes of watching I finally witnessed a drop from the hose clamp). When I say slow leak, I mean about 1-cup a week so it took me a couple weeks to finally locate this (that and it was always raining to it made it tough to see moisture where it doesn't belong).

>My question is, how is the easiest way to access this hose and clamp? It looks like I'm going to have to remove the intake manifold at a minimum and very likely will have to remove the water manifold too. Any BTDT's available on this small hose replacement?
