Randy: Tom's advice is good.  For my part, I would suggest that you check the Fuel Pressure
 Regulator (in case it is leaking) and consider replacing the fuel pump (my recommendation was
 anything over 100K miles (160K km) is living on borrowed time (and asking to be smote down with
 the vengence of the Audi gods while far away from home)).

Bottomline:  You should likely change your fuel filter and fuel pump and consider replacing the fuel
 pressure regulator and relaying  your new fuel pump.
