Not completely clear which side of the engine your leak is on, but if it's the driver's side it's most likely the oil pressure switch. They are known to fail, sometimes to the point that there is a jet of oil that can run the sump dry pretty quickly.

Good news is it's a cheap and relatively easy fix. There should be a post with pictures and part numbers (S4 and S6 are different) in the Quattroworld FAQ.
