[s-cars] Ignition switch problems

The ignition switch is in two parts, the tumbler part that reads your key, and the electrical part behind it that activated the starter, runs the electrical stuff, etc.
It's quite common for the electrical bit to slowly fail, which is what it sounds like yours is doing. Replacements for the electrical part are not un-Godly expensive, in the Audi scheme of things, and are tolerably doable to replace on your own.
