Steve,
You replaced a dampening device with one that that is less dampening.
You are going to feel more vibration. That is the whole point of those
things.
Your mechanic can't install them wrong. They are very simple. They are
held on by 3 nuts.
2 to the body and one to the aluminum arm.
You are asking questions that are very subjective with no ability to
make direct comparisons.
What it comes down to is what you want. If they are too stiff for you,
take them out and put back the originals.
If you didn't want them stiffer, what was your point of installing them?
