Try Steve Eiche in Denver, who may have an ECU that he could swap to check
yours. His phone is: 303-940-2468, or 303-425-6566.

Subject: [s-cars] Maybe it's the ECU after all.....

Many thanks to all who have given some sage advice over the course of
today......after checking out my turbo and wastegate, each checked out okay.
I gained access to my ECU, checked the intake pressure line, was intact, and
then disconnected the ECU from the wiring harness for a bit. I reattached
it, buttoned it all up and went for a drive. No change in performance.
Pulled the codes and got a "2222"......

2222 (Blink Fault Code), 00519 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number ECU Internal
Pressure sensor (G71) Pressure sensor defective, Repair or replace ECU or
replace internal pressure sensor

So, looking for an ECU to swap out at this point and see if that's the
issue, which I would guess by the codes that it is. Anyone have one they
can spare?

Let me know if I'm finally on the right track, and if there is anything more
I can do at this point besides swap out an ECU.

Also curious as to how this might happen? Any thoughts?

Thanks again......maybe there's light at the end of the tunnel. (Then
again, it could be an oncoming train!)

Best regards,
