Lot's of good suggestions - thanks guys.
I swapped door strikes from driver side to passenger side - no change -
driver door won't stay closed (I can pull door open from exterior) and
everything is good on the passenger side. The strike did have some wear
grooves in the metal but works on the passenger side anyway.
I used a heat gun to heat up the latch assembly but nothing changed.
So I pulled the door apart and removed the latch assembly. I was going
to soak it in ATF but I can't figure out how to get the vacuum line
disconnected. Everything else went fine. Anyone have a suggestion for
separating the white vacuum housing from the latch assembly?
TIA<
