Hi Jerry;
>From what I recall, the chime on the UrS4 is located in a relay mounted
behind the IP. In the UrS6, the chime is a small speaker soldered to the IP
circuit board.

Subject: [s-cars] disable warning buzzer
I have been unable to find why my warning buzz on my 93 sedan, keeps
sounding continuously. It comes on after I start the engine and sounds
until I shut off the engine. It looks like, from the instrument panel bulb
replacement pictures posted in an earlier write-up, that it's just below the
fuel gauge in the back of the panel. I have tried finding the problem, but
with no success, so have decided to disable it.
Has anyone done this successfully? It appears to be enclosed in a white
plastic cover that may be difficult to remove from the back of the
instrument panel. It's driving me nuts and I want to clip the leads. I
know how to remove the instrument panel, but can't see how to get to the
buzzer leads. I cannot get the car inspected by the State of Colorado with
the buzzer sounding, so it's going to have to go. Any help would be
appreciated.
Jerry
