Try snowboarding - it opens a whole new thrill sport that could renew your
interest in getting back to the slippery slope.  But, you still have to deal
with the agony of the drive to the mountains, as well as the cost of a lift
ticket these days.

I used to love skiing but haven't done it since 2006. I'm used to skiing a
certain way and its usually on vintage Lange kr slalom Jean Claude killy
203cm skiis.

I'm only 40 , but I know my brain will push me to do something my body can
no longer do. And farting around on the slopes and taking it easy is no fun
and a waste of a lift ticket IMHO.

I suppose I can try short shaped skis again. I just couldn't get into them
the last time I gave them a shot.
