[s-cars] Ignition Removal

I am trying to remove the ignition switch from my 94 S4 for the second time. I 
think I got a cheap one the first time around.
I am at the point of digging out the red threadlocker and am getting nowhere.

Is there a plan B for switch removal? Is there a way to eat the threadlocker 
away?

I've heard that the Audi method requires steering wheel removal?
