[s-cars] Radio Glitch Question

Howdy Gents-

Quick question on a radio gremlin.  I have the Delta CC unit that came
standard on the 95.5 S6, though I think it was replaced (maybe with a used
unit?) about 3 years ago.

Here's the issue.  Sometimes the sound will go out completely even as the
lights in the unit are all still on.  Often it's when I restart the car.
 Sound will come on for a half second, then go out for a minute or two.
 While sound is dead, I can still toggle between radio, CD, and tape (all
with no sound). Then sound returns.  That pattern may hold for a day or
two, or not that long.  Then it might operate normally for weeks.

My basic question is, does this seem to be the radio unit itself?  Or
something elsewhere, relating to the ignition switch perhaps?  Any
thoughts?  Anyone else ever had this issue?
