[s-cars] Auto stuck in 1st

Wife just phoned to say the Auto S6 is stuck in 1st gear. She thought there
was a burning smell as well, but that might well be the leak we've had for
a couple of years that I can't trace - I thought it was a small leak from
somewhere near the turbo that lets the odd drip onto the exhaust. Hope it
doesn't prove to have been ATF!

Anyway, it's the original autobox - 145K miles. Any thoughts?

It's been a bad few weeks for my S6s - the other one had a failing fuel
pump, then a collision with a pheasant (breaking a headlight and the
washer), and finally a failed POS.
