Yep, replace with the correct or dealer hose. There's tight access, but the right 1/4 drive universal and extensions and its reachable to remove and reclamp in a new one.
Very glad to hear you were able to keep this one from the wife! I've proved Audi UrS4 reliability to the family through diligent pro-active preventive maintenance - so I used to get the other complaint about too much time and money with my pearl siren goddess.
I'm fortunate though, at 140k, I'm slightly behind the curve. If ya'll have a spat of issues, I usually can fix'em before they fail on me.
