[s-cars] Coolant Leak

I found removing the intake hose, ISV and plumbing and unplugging the MFTS
and temp sensor gave me decent access. Be careful both of brittle plastic
connector on MFTS and rubber boots on spade connectors for temp sensor.
Otherwise I sliced the old hose at the banjo fitting's barbed end and it
came off without too much drama. I also did the vertical PCV valve while i
was in there.

Yep, replace with the correct or dealer hose. There's tight access, but the
right 1/4 drive universal and extensions and its reachable to remove and
reclamp in a new one.

Very glad to hear you were able to keep this one from the wife! I've proved
Audi UrS4 reliability to the family through diligent pro-active preventive
maintenance - so I used to get the other complaint about too much time and
money with my pearl siren goddess.

I'm fortunate though, at 140k, I'm slightly behind the curve. If ya'll have
a spat of issues, I usually can fix'em before they fail on me.

part at your local auto parts store. If you will look on the quattroworld
forums I'm sure you will find information about that hose it is specific to
the application. I have some sections from where I just replaced mine and I
will be happy to sell you a portion instead of you having to buy a full
meters' worth from your dealer. Let me know.
