Jim Ellis Audi Parts shows the one they sent you as being for a different car, A4/S4/Cabrio.

The one specified by Audiworld looks like it would be the right one, if you had it.

I would say they sent you the wrong part. Similar function, but wrong application.
>From the link and picture there, the wrong part looks like the same one is used on either side of that other application. Not side-specific, just like the correct one for your car would be, if you had it.
