Why yes the have. At least once (Weldo (Brian Weldon)) (and maybe Hap Maguire??).

You lose the spare tire well and a bunch of trunk space.

Just curious. 
Has anyone done the ‘extreme’ thing and replaced their C4 factory fuel tank with a fuel cell (FuelSafe, ATI, etc)?
