The C4 Fuel Tank, PN 4A0201075L, goes all the way back to 1985 C3 Audis and was used all the way to the end of the C4s (as show in the diagram linked below).  However, it is not clear when or IF the fuel pump basket mounting bracket was  changed over that period.
