Why golly you sound like your expectations are so reasonable as well.  So you're looking for a rust free clean car with no mech issues and 80k mis for $3500 I'm assuming?

Srsly IMO values for these cars have been in the tank last year or two, but seem to be rebounding as the not- thrashed not-rusty cars become much harder to find. They'll never be exotic classics but the cost of good ones are "firming up".
