I only meant to say that I have seen a couple advertised that are original, multicolour, dented, the front hood chipped and neglected to the point that rust is appearing where the chips were, and the seller wants $8k for his extremely rare model.  IMO, the price of an S6 is relevant to things like condition & mods.  Mileage to some is important, but I’m not that fussy as I know that these motors can be almost bullet proof if maintained properly.

I used to own a 1996 S6 and so I know how special the car is, but also the amount of preventative maintenance that is required for them as well.
Things like mileage, mods, and minor mech issues do not worry me.  It’s the cars that have not had any maintenance on the car and yet are driven as though they are a F1 car that I will be staying away from.  :-)  Not to say that I don’t drive my cars hard.  I do.  But at least I attempt to keep them in good to excellent mech condition.
