Jim,
just a thought,
the 2w "upgrade" was so popular that a previous of your car may have already changed yours to 2w bulbs.
This would explain why you think the stock bulbs needed to be turned down.

Hi all,
I've got one too many lights out in my dash, so I guess it's
time to replace the bulbs. I've seen lots of people
going the 2w bulb route over the stock 1w bulb, and I guess
I'm curious as to why. I've never thought the stock
bulbs were too bright, if anything I turn them down lower
than brightest as it is. What is the prevailing reason
for going 2w?
Also, one of the lights that went out recently is the light
behind the Odometer.....is that a different bulb? It is
always on normally, so I was wondering if that was different
somehow.
I've replaced the ignition switch about 30-40K miles
ago....should I just do it again "while I'm there"?
If someone has the link handy to the bulb replacement
procedure, that's be great. Part #'s for the 1w and 2w
bulbs and best source would be great as well.....thanks!
Best regards,
Jim Fleischer
