I've used pads and rotors from places like Pep Boys and Advance Auto on the rear of my s4 for years with no problems. What would concern me is that only one side was bad. Is the caliper bad and causing the problem? That's the only time I've ever experienced that sort of issue, but I live in the south, not the Northeast so you guys experience things that we don't

Guys,
My daughter is home briefly with our/her '96 A6, and while changing over to snows, I noticed that one of her rear brake rotors is shot. My mechanic recently replaced the other rear brake setup-rebuilt caliper, rotor and pads.
If I can get parts, tomorrow, I'll change the rotor and pads. So...here's the question...
Can I get decent quality parts at Pep Boys (open Sunday), or do I need to wait until Monday to get the good stuff (which means my mechanic will do the job...)
Thanks!
Lee
