[s-cars] Fuel filter washer

At some point, I bought a bag of washers, part no. 049 133 696 B.  These come up as "fuel filter washer" for '85-'92 VW/Audi when I run a web search.  However, they don't look like they'd work, judging by how they fit with the new fuel filter that I just took out of the box.  Anybody know if these are supposed to be used on our UrS cars or if they're for C3 (eg 100/200 series)?

I don't remember where I got these as I've had them for years.  My guess is that I tried to buy fuel filter crush washers and was given the wrong parts.
