[s-cars] intermittent ABS pulsing through pedal at complete stop

Ian has you pointed right on target to check the wheel sensor. Which one? Since you messed with both axles maybe even front and back? Is that avant a 121 series vehicle known around here as a 95.5 model? If so, you might get more with a scan for DTCs, especially if you use a VAG-COM (even Lite version) to scan for any codes. The latest vehicles can even cough up the offending wheel. If it is more than just a sensor needing adjustment, you should also have a caution/warning light. Maybe the welder disconnected the cable to the drivers front wheel when doing the bracket repair?
It is even simpler than this if you just have someone outside the vehicle standing close to the side of the vehicle as you brake to a stop (in your driveway perhaps). The observer should easily pick out the wheel that is pulsing the brake caliper.
You did remove and clean these sensors when you were changing the CV boots, didn’t you? Don’t answer that.

I replaced each outer CV joint boot within the last couple of days, and noticed recently that I am getting ABS feedback from the brake pedal sometimes when coming to a complete stop….essentially at the end of the braking episode I’ll feel a little vibration through the pedal. Not every time, about 40-50% of the time. Going forward and backing up. No dash lights (brake or ABS) just the pulsing. No other braking issues, firm pedal and solid stopping power. Any clues?
