It is all in here so there is no reason for me to repeat any of it. Forgie must still be napping after celebrating the US Thanksgiving dinner. This is part of a reminder Dave sends around every month or so. Archive the next one and you won’t be so clueless.
I will only add that the car is a modern computer controlled vehicle. The Motronic ECU not only controls the engine operation, it stores fault codes that can be very helpful in diagnosing problems. This is the first step in troubleshooting any engine problem. You will probably only find a clue for where to start your diagnosis rather than specific parts that have failed, but it is always the place to start. The absence of a code can be as big a clue as a specific code.
