[s-cars] Non Audi, but VAG question.... VW Touareg V10 TDI vs. V8 opinions?

Jim I have never owned a VAG Diesel, just gas. I have however owned an 88
3/4 ton Suburban with a 5.7 V8 and the same truck in year model 94 with a
6.5 turbo Diesel. The economy was certainly better with that old Diesel
vs. the TBI gas V8, but I grew to hate paying way more per gallon and
having my hands stink after pumping. I don't know that I would do Diesel
again just because of the smell at the pump. The previous person always
seemed to get Diesel all over the handle and the ground was usually sticky
around the pump.

I vote for the gas motor.
