[s-cars] Non Audi, but VAG question.... VW Touareg V10 TDI vs. V8 opinions?

Hi Andrew,

As I continue my search for a Touareg, this information intrigues me.  Before I go down to my local VW dealer and see what the ‘15/’16 cars are going for, what is the lowdown on the owner/lessee claims?  How does one go about finding out if a claim has been settled, is it as easy as calling the dealer?  And what is the “fix” or update that has to happen on these cars and how does it affect the performance/mileage?  Seems like a slippery slope from my initial inquiry (who knew?) but intriguing all the same.  Any thoughts?
