 I just looked up an 84 on KBB for retail and private party value also, good condition, 110000 miles on it, all the options available on the 85 (which is what I have but they don't list it!!).

 Private party value is listed at $5535
 Retail is at $7345.
 
 I guess I would figure another $750 to $1000 for my 85.
 Some books the banks or insurance companies used don't even list the quattro at all! They go by the CGT figures.
