A 1990 200tq has had the "power on" for 12 years now....

Want to use a window switch? Fine, then you should at least make it look
cool and light up the switch and the diff lock diagram with the power feed. I
find the stock audi setup for that controller to be really cool myself. Hence I
spent too much time putting it in the way audi did.

You can also do an "emergency" single switch disable of both diffs with a hit
to ground on the blue white wire. I have both tied together and routed to
the shifter, I just haven't done that yet.

A better mod would be to use the window switch for a momentary on/off with
the forward (up) being the center diff, and the rear (down) being the rear diff.
 In fact, I just might....

Oh no...

The electric modules do indeed use a momentary switch
to switch them, so a window switch will work. As for
powering them off, they do default to the "unlock"
position when powered off. A simple check will help
figure out how to hook up the vacuum lines. I found
them to get hot even in the "open" or "standby"
position. Since they only need to be powered to lock
the diffs, I saw no need to tempt fate and power them
when not in use. I have had no problems so far.
