I did an offroad tsd rally last weekend and have some issues as a 
result.  These are my first audi-specific problems, so I'm at the point 
where I know basically nothing at all.  During the rally, I was running 
with locked diffs.  About halfway through, we went on asphalt for the 
dinner break, and I unlocked them after I got on the asphalt.  On the 
way back, still on asphalt, I pulled the knob and nothing happened.  No 
blinking, no locking, nothing.  I'm pretty certain it's not a mechanical 
problem with the diffs themselves, just a connection somewhere.  So 
where should I start looking?

Also, there's a very slow fluid leak coming out from the front of the 
rear diff where the driveshaft goes in.  I don't think it is, but could 
it be related?  Either way, what am I looking at for repair work?
