The Rally NY event was a success. Met Pedro Faria 
at the service area on friday, Chris Semple was 
the sweeper car on stages. John Buffum was a 
marshal for the event. Great turnout, 65 entries 
with a major Irish contingent (20+ entries?) There 
was a film crew from Irish TV there recording the 
event to be broadcast back home.

Quattro motion was there with a 20vt S2, Gerry 
Brinkmans 4000tq and David Siesicki 4000q were the 
  rest of the Audi contingent. QuattroMotion 
placed 18 OA in the new to them S2. The bad news 
being that Greg Haymanns employee James Fok (Saab) 
crashed (SS8) and was flown to Westchester Med 
Center with a badly broken ankle (six screws etc,) 
Brinkman had an off as well (SS2) and I heard that 
he was also in Westchester MC, but that is all I 
know about it at this time.

It was an excellent event on 10 stages, 8 gravel 
and 2 tarmac stages, right in my own backyard. NE 
listers should try to attend next year, it's worth 
the trip and is part of the seven event Eastern 
States Rally Championship promoted by NASA. Ivan 
Orisek was the clerk of the course.
