... hey, I'd love to be able to attend.  If the location were a bit closer
to allow a quick trip I'd be there, but that, combined with the choice of a
date after school starts makes it a no go for me ... of course, I need to
make the car run and register it ... but that is something I could have done
something about ... 

It sure seemed to me the writing was on the wall from the time the location
and time were set ... 

... as to being afraid to put miles on the car ... mine made it to AF97 in
Colorado, and also did a tour from California to Texas to Minnesota and back
to California ... never missed a beat.  Well, I guess it didn't want to
start at Devil's Playground ...
