I am talking intake air temperature observations, not combustion air
temps for water misting the intercooler vs water injection on the inlet
side of the inside of the intercooler with an ambient temperature above
72 degrees F both cars have a K-26 turbo. outlet temps 5 degrees cooler
using misting with a spal fan, recovery time from a 120 F intercooler
outlet temp with misting, 28 seconds back to ambient with the fan and
water on, the car with water injection into the intercooler, always 15
degrees hotter, and the recovery time was over four minutes at 70 mph.
again not talking combustion temps, when it is warm out, putting water
on the outside is better than the inside.. or I am not using a large
enough nozzle, I will switch to the largest nozzle and repost. Best To
All, Bill
