I assume you're going via Munich.  If so, if at all possible, plan to spend
a day at the Deutches Museum there.  I'm not kidding about a full day --
it's something like 6 or 7 floors of cars, airplanes and all manner of very
cool technical stuff.  Well worth the visit.
