Ive actually done something similiar to this before and it works 
perfectly. I used the GM door motor-solenoids. Built a small circuit, 
ran the wires etc and voila! I just didnt want to go through all that 
right now for this car... maybe I will though. Never tried the VAG 
solenoids though, hmmm..
