IME, the tip of the injector goes all the way to the tip of the shroud. I
haven't performed a pattern test with the injector in the shroud removed
from the head. But I don't notice any ill effects in the performance of the
car.
I seem to have it backwards from what I'm seeing here on the list. I have
the short brass inserts in my 86 4kq head (I have a spare), and the long
plastic ones in both WX heads.
