- Found a LUK online catalogue at http://213.70.80.160/index.html
They confirm that 624 0839 00 is correct for WR up to 06-87 built date (your
serial number must be under 85-J-900336, right?).
>Louis-Alain - you suggested the sleeve the release bearing sits on might be

- The shop who did the job (and this list) urged me to replace the sleeve.
That's why I am telling you that; I am just repeating what others told me.
For what I understand on its function, I might prevent (if really worn) the
disk to slide easily on the transmission shaft, and less pressure will be
applied on the flywheel. But I am sure others will explain this much better
than me.
On my car, the disk was really worn but I did not look at the sleeve, sorry.
< But wouldn't this mean the pedal would not return fully. My pedal
>feels fine. What's the story?
Sorry, can't explain that.
>Look forward to hearing from you all with your thoughts.
>Any advice on gearbox removal also gratefully received.
<I have already decided that if the gearbox has to come out I will fit
<another new clutch whatever the cause! - OEM clutch of course.
In my car, I installed a Sachs clutch kit and a steel sleeve. Kit was 425
CAN$ and sleeve was 25 CAN$. OEM was not a solution as there was none in
Canada available.
Cheers
