Thos to do with a 20V
10 valve need water cooling - just remember they are getting on in age
now. The engine was capable of taking extra power but would suggest a
bootom end rebuild if u are going to do it.
Bought a RS2 manifold and fitted a H26/K27 Hybrid Turbo fro, Turbo
techniques in Southampton (UK)
Brilliant
If you fit a K26/K26 it fits without any new piping required = perhaps
need a new controllable Dump Valve (Make sure its one that is the same
design ie Dumps the air back into the system
If you fit a K26/K27 it will need new pipework from the air box to the
turbo
Probably need to get a new mappable ECU
Once you sort out any week pipework ..............
You will find it is much better.
Turbo lag becomes MUCH more noticeable but the main advantage is through
the range
I believe that 400 bhp is possible.
You will need new injectors and ECU mapping to the actual new set up.
New ECUs will give you much better fuel flow
Then you will need new brakes to handle the extra power
Expect to spend about 600 UKP on Manifold 700-800 UKP on Turbo. Dump
valve 120UKP. Pipwork 100UKP. Injectors 400 UKP. ECU 800 UKP. Brakes
1200 UKP.
But very worth while
