I have to side with Ingo here. My 85 is Graphite Metallic and I love it.
Impossible to keep clean, but when freshly washed it is sexy as hell. I also
think a diamond silver with Fuchs is a work of art.

I have had thoughts of changing the color of my car. The only other choice I
would go with is Amazon Blue with Tan leather.

Having been picked on by the local constabularies  twice last week, I
certainly wouldn't suggest Tornado Red (!).  My '83 will likely become
black, according to the current owner.  Personally, if I had a rolling
chassis, I'd go for either Silver or Graphite Metallic.  Mr. Piech may have
liked black, but I find that with colors that aren't too dark the beautiful
lines of the car don't disappear and the color still has a certain sporty
elegance.
