The assembly team was 48 people (including the tea-boy and janitor) producing 3 cars a day.  I
have long been convinced that two sub-teams actually produced 1 1/2 cars a day each, and a
conversation with one of the builders at quattro 2000 tended to confirm that.  We refer to
them as "Team A" and "Team B" - though those are just our names.

Key metric - the two vacuum hoses that leap off the back of the inlet manifold towards the
firewall - if they're tie-wrapped cross-wise, it's an "A Team" car, and if they're tie-wrapped
parallel to each other it's a "B Team" car.  There are other minor pointers such as the tie
wrap immediately below the breather hose behind the back of the block - does it point up or
was it turned down so the cut end didn't chafe into the breather hose?
