[urq] No parking brake has led to recommendation to G60 conversion.

... there's not that much particularly special about the ury's rear brakes
... you just need to make sure they have the correct e-brake cable mounts.
$900 for a "cheap" solution? How well do you know/trust this shop? What
are your goals? If you are thinking upgrade, I would recommend that you
consider all your options first ... I do not consider the G60 alternative an
upgrade myself ... but then I'm weird, I like the UFO brakes on both my V8s
too ...

As I've said here before, my idea for a "cheap" upgrade will be to go with
A4 front brakes and V8 vented rears ... The A4 brakes actually use a rotor
that is bigger that the ury's G54s (the G60s rotor is smaller than the G54)
... and are considerably lighter than G60s ...

> I took just acquired urq project car to a quattro shop. The parking brake
doesn't work because the mechanisms at the rear calipers are frozen. I had
checked ETKA and saw a lot of NLA for many parts. Shop is thinking urq rear
calipers will be to costly. The left front brake was dragging and the wheel
was warm after a 20 mile drive. So the shop is recommending a G60
conversion for all 4 wheels as a cheap way out. About $900. This would be
for new calipers, rotors pads and labor plus having working emergency brake.
I'll try to get my old F&R calipers returned - as who knows maybe someday
they can be rebuilt.
