I'm guessing you have the wrong wastegate spring. Perhaps the previous
owner didn't want to take a chance on losing another motor. Perhaps the
early 200 wastegate was locally available and more convenient to use.
You may want inventory the other parts to make sure they are correct for
the GV/WR. E.g. you probably don't want to run the WR/GV spring on an MB
without knock sensor.

The previous owner blew up his engine once (broken oil cooler lines)
back in Œ88 and Audi ... Program rebuilded the complete engine, incl.
new head, turbo, wastegate etc.
