[urq] Interesting 4000 battery observation

So I was in the junkyard yesterday picking up a new
4000Q shifter for the '83 and noticed something
interesting. There was a 1980 4000 4-dr with a UrQ
battery box under the back seat (with all the wiring
as well). In place of the battery box under the hood,
was the coil, mounted to the supports for a battery
box. The car had a 5-cyl engine. All was totally Audi
stock. Was this Audi experimenting? A 1981 4000 in the
same junkyard had the under-hood battery box. Weird.
