Brandon. either your gauge source got plumbed into a line with a check valve
in between it and the engine or some boob took apart the cluster and pulled
the pointer and changed the index(not an easy job), unplug the hose at the
cluster to diagnose the problem, yeah, yeah I know, in either case a boob
was involved. HEY WAIT! you said it was outta da car! the boob from dover
was in your car! I hope he did not use superglue and I hope you can pop off
the pointer without screwing the pooch, I would apply heat to it gently and
be gentle and pray to The Spirits or where ever and no, I do not have a
spare. godspeed to you Brandon, Bill

Subject: [urq] Boost gauge

Hey guys-
WRT the in-dash boost gauge - where 0 is at the bottom and "1" is midway
and it goes to "2". I've always been under the impression these were
tsuppose dto sit at "1" when off (horizontal needle) and show boost and
vacuum. Mine sits at "0", so the needle is pointing down and hence will not
show vacuum. I figured somebody had "corrected" this for me in the apst,
but in looking at it last night (out of car) I just don't see how it can be
messed with.

Anybody know how to alter their initial reading? Anybody else's gauge sit
at "0" when car is off?

TIA-

Brandon
