I won't go through the techniques that weren't successful. The following
worked for single person bleeding.
Driver's side wheel removed and corner raised to provide access to bleed
screw on slave cylinder. Attached a clear tube to bleed screw and turned
tubing upwards within the engine compartment to above the height of the
hydraulic fluid reservoir and held tube in place with a tie-wrap. Opened
bleed screw. A small amount of fluid entered the clear tube. Pushed down
the clutch pedal by hand and went to see what was happening. Level was
rising but air was coming through. Repeated 3 or 4 times. Fluid didn't
reach the top of the clear tube and all air was removed. Close bleed screw
and clean up.
Good luck. Not my favorite job and those that have replaced slave cylinders
in position have my greatest respect!
