If you are saying that the valve clearances were not adjusted when the head
was put back together ... thenI'd say get them set up before reinstalling.
IMO/E it really isn't that difficult a thing to do as long as you've got a
set of shims. Seems to me the machine shop might be able to help you there.
Otherwise, you shouldn't need to worry about wear on the buckets themselves
... remember all they are is a solid piece of metal ...
