It was impossible to turn the bomb out with my oilfilter-spanner whilst still in the car. So I had to drain the hydraulic reservoir (pumped the pedal many times to discharge the bomb) and removed all banjo fittings / lines connected to the pressure regulator. The bracket with the regulator and the bomb still attached to it is now seperated from the car and now ready to turn the old bomb out / new bomb in...

Now I'm a little worried: is the bomb still discharged? Can I safely turn it out in the bench and screw the new bomb in?

PS the dealer quoted 199,00 Euro ex VAT: quess not !
