[urq] 3" exhaust

Hi Steve,

With all the 20v and EFI conversions going on, this is probably something we
should look into as a group.
I do not want a 20v system copy per say, since it is different. However
using the S2 downpipe I can fit (and have it now) a N/A system with a custom
2.5" SS flex in place of the CAT.
Works nice, however, I feel that the engine would breathe a lot better with
a 3" system, especially with a chipped computer.
Hope there is more interest out there, even for the EFI 10v guys.

Thanks!
Martin Pajak

FWIW, I contact BN Pipes about five years ago, and Bernard replied that he
could supply a 3" turbo back system for a 10V for about $1000 + shipping
(Considering what the exchange rate is now compared to then, I would guess
that we are looking at at least $1400 or so now.). Other than the price,
the problem is that there is no cat and it has a 10V downpipe. He told me
that he made the system for Hohenester years ago and still has the fixtures
for it. He was not interested in making a 20V version. Also note that the
20V system is different not only because of the dual cat setup, but also
because the pipe and muffler mounts are different on the RR ur quattros.

My advice is to find a good shop that can fabricate a system for you. While
I am still hoping to find a company willing to make a short run of 3"
exhausts for quattros, I am getting less optimistic. I tried getting some
interest in a "group" buy a year or two ago, but there was no consensus on
what people would want (and would pay for), so I dropped the idea.
