So these pieces I photographed at Ned's several ago are now yours. Did
you get the K29 as well?

IIRC, Ned said these were from the Unser trip up Pikes Peak or that
Unser had a similar setup. So this setup was used in '86. Also he said
that a blip or two of the throttle at the starting line spools the turbo
for rocket like starts complete with long, very long flames. I'd love to
see a video of that start.

I think of this as an oversized bypass valve that dumps metered air into
the EM. Calling it a wastegate is a bit confusing to me since. It sure
looks like one though.
