Don't worry about the lights. a) that's the least of your worries right now
b) that's just the way they are. Rubbish. eventually you'll probably rig up
a relay with power direct from the battery to get around the huge voltage
drop in the stock wiring set-up.
Re: oil usage. If you have good compression it suggests it's not rings, but
you certainly have either v.rich mixture or loads of oit getting in to
combustion chamber or both. Does it smoke when you lift off? . Are you sure
there are no pools of oil under it when parked?
Re: 15psi boost - sounds like ECU has had the zener diode mod and a 1bar
wastegate spring fitted. That in itself should cause you no problems. The
oil consumption is more fundamental. Certainly check all the crankcase
ventilation pipes to make sure it is all venting as it should and not
pressurising.
Try all the simply/ cheap things first. There is loads of stuff in the
Archive, loads on various sites of contributors to the List.
Don't give up on the car. You will sort it. They ARE wonderful and it will
all have been worth it.
