Hello,
I have received a lot of feed back about my dash question. But it had also
generated some more questions from the ones who resplonded. My near perfect new
dash with the ABT gauge pad already has the hole in the dash for the peg on
the instrument cover housing (taxi housing) So cutting a hole into a perfect
dash isn't an issue. The eye sore dash that's in the car now is the problem. A
few people have wrote and suggested a few places, without any other information
other than a name. Not a lot of help, but I appreciate the fact anyway. Some
have also suggested installing the later style dash from a Coupe GT. I have a
1987 4000cs project car that has this later style dash. I can't see having two
different cars (UrQ & 4000) and having the same dash in both cars. So, I'm
still looking for a company that refinishes old dashboards.
Thanks,
Jim Furdyn
